Chic-recyclers Part 1: Accessories

I happened to read an article on Miss Malini's blog about being 'chiconomical', i.e. being chic while being economical, and thought of coming up with a post (or series of posts) on wardrobe recyclers that are economical yet fashionable.

Here's the link to her post...

In her post she shows us the example of la belle Duchess of Cambridge and her creative recyclers. And yes, she DOES add the chic in economical!
This brings me to mention how a lot of us shy away from doing a repeat, especially on occasions. Recycling isn't synonymous to anti-fashion, rather, isn't it more creative to repeat an outfit without it looking the same as when worn previously?

I second Malini when she says 'Accessorize!'. Oh yes, accessories can make or break an outfit, and can completely change the look.

Take a basic white dress for example. The dress by itself with maybe just a clutch and a neck piece makes for a good brunch outfit. Now, glamoufy that by simply tying a satin sash around the waist, and say adding some red to your lips and flouncing those lashes with some long lash mascara! Dainty little woman to Diva, eh? And that too in less than a minute! That's the power of accessories!
